Lynchland

 A Clean Place, Reasonably Priced

Second Life is a magical world, limited only by the imagination of the inhabitants, so it seems a fitting place to write a love letter to David Lynch. Do you know what a love letter is? Well in this case it is not a bullet from a gun, it is Lynchland, a stunning tribute to Lynch and his works. It does not try to exactly replicate an area from one film or show, instead it gives a feel of Lynch's world, it is Lynchian. There are secrets, there is room for interpretation. When I rolled into town Sherriff Truman did not send me off to the Great Northern, instead there is a Motel with seven themed rooms that must be experienced to be understood.

They are color themed, and each has it's own feel. There is a diner, not the Double R, but named after Blue Velvet. There is a music shop named after Wild At Heart. There is a drive-in theater named after Mulholland Drive. The motel is the Lost Highway Motel. Of course there are a  whole range of places from Twin Peaks, including a Lovely take on the Black Lodge.

Lynchland is a paradise for Lynch fans, SL photographers, and all of us who truly appreciate the art that is possible in a world like SL. Check out the Lynchland Flickr Group .

Stop in for a damn fine cup of coffee and they've got a cherry pie there that'll kill you...
